Toilet Training BoysSuccess Stories Whether your little boy is on a journey from potty to toilet or is simply taking the leap right away, we want to hear your story! Share with us the challenges you faced and what methods worked for you! Lora,
My wife and I waited until I had some time off for us to try your method. We have 2 1/2 yr old twins, Boy and Girl. So it really took both of us to handle this. But I'm happy to say that it worked ! We started a week ago today, and by Tuesday, my Son was asking to go potty. It took until Thursday for my daughter to "click" as to what was going on. I'm also happy to say that we've had to change only 1 set of wet sheets since then and that was during the first night of toilet training for my daughter. We've had none since ! We've also noticed that it seemed to help having them wear pants during this. It made for more laundry, but there was more clothes to be wet and they were able to feel it better.
Thank you very much Darin |
Toilet training - day 3. Just a quick note to give you an update as to the success of our toilet training. Last night, my son was able to hold his pee all night long! We were so proud of him. This morning we negotiated a bit before he was ready to get on the "cold" toilet, but he did it and later in the day, he told me that he wanted to show me something..eek?? and low and behold, he had done his stinky in the toilet!!! we made a big deal out of it and it really was a big deal to us! I can't believe how far he has come in just these three days. So, in a nutshell we went to the preschool today and he will hopefully start there next Monday. We still have some reinforcement to go through (he only goes for me now and he will have to learn to listen to the teachers etc...). I am sure it will help to see the other kids going to the potty, but again I wanted to thank you for your experience & for the great plan you are sharing with other moms like me!
Best Regards, Karin |
I purchased your toilet training guide from you a few weeks back and I am pleased to say that it worked great. I just wanted to thank you for offering this toilet training method. If you ever get an email from someone who isn't sure about this system, give them my email address and I will reassure them.
thanks a million, Cris Warkentin |
It works! Our 22 month was walking to the toilet and putting himself on by day two. Your toilet training guide was most helpful in directing us and giving us the confidence to move forward. Most of all we appreciate your availability and prompt responses to our questions. My wife and I cannot believe how quickly he progressed - and he can barely talk!
You're a lifesaver - thank you. David |
I just wanted to say thank you for your toilet training guide. I have two kids.and I was attempting to toilet train my second girl. I am still on the first day of training, however, she is already telling me that she has to go potty without me even asking! And it's not even the end of day one!! I understand now what I did wrong with my first girl and just feel grateful to have run across your website and training guide. Anissa |
I feel just as overjoyed as those parents who have sent you their success stories. What greater happiness than a kiddy who is finished with diapers!!! :-) Some of my friends were really skeptical "it will stress the child", "so much pressure for the child and yourself". Well, I actually had a friend visiting the whole while I was training my son and she said after that she had expected much more mess and said it was so easy! She was telling everyone she spoke to about it :-) My husband had not expected it to be so easy either, he thought I was going to give up if day one was loaded with messes.. I'm sure he would have given up! So no more diapers, whoopee!!!
Here are the results of our son's toilet-training process:
Day 1: 2 pees and 1 pooh in his undies, we never got to the toilet on time :(
Day 2: many pees outside (he told us when he wanted to go, he preferred to do it outside than inside) and 1 pooh in his undies
Day 3: TA-DA!!! Though he went outside to pee (he told us each time), he went to the toilet to pee under supervision and then after a while he went to do his very first pooh in the toilet all BY HIMSELF!!! Followed by a second later on in the day.. He did forget himself once though and wet himself before he realized what was happening.. but he's a kid of course and kids do forget..
Thanks again!! This has made a big difference for us! (Imagine, even my mom in Holland was keeping herself updated!) Claudia |
